At just nine years old, Henry Save-All has over 11,000 YouTube subscribers and is the latest signing to our FORZA Brand Ambassador Programme…
When Henry’s dad started uploading videos to YouTube back in October 2016 of his team training and 1-2-1 coaching sessions it was all just a bit of fun. The videos received a few views, but soon after they started to increase, Henry and his dad decided to upload more match clips, training drills and goalkeeper glove reviews… fast forward two years later and their most popular video now has over 421,000 views! Having noticed that they bought quite a bit of FORZA Training Equipment from us, as well as our 16 x 7 FORZA Alu60 Football Goal, we got in touch with the Dad and lad team to see if they wanted to work with us on a more permanent basis…
To date, Henry has used “loads” of our FORZA products to help him perfect his prowess; from our Football Goal Target Sheet for goal kick accuracy and our RapidFire Football Rebound Net for solo training to the FORZA Speed & Agility Training Ladder and FORZA Speed Training Hurdles for footwork drills. He also has a fair few FORZA Training Footballs and our Slalom Poles to create deflection barriers.
Last year we also asked Henry to review* our brand-new FORZA Centro Goalkeeper Gloves to see what he thought. “They were fabulous,” Henry told us. “They became my favourite gloves and I used them for the remainder of the season. They were my first pair of negative cut gloves and compared to the previous gloves I’d been using, they were better and cheaper too! I was really impressed with the fit, grip, cushioning and durability.”
(*You can watch Henry’s full review here and his in-play test here.)
We recently caught up with Henry to find out all about his love for goalkeeping and the beautiful game…
FORZA: Hey Henry, so first thing’s first, how did you get into football and more specifically goalkeeping?
HS: I started playing at home with a soft football when I was toddler and then joined a local group called Little Kickers playing on the pitch. After that I progressed to a local academy called MRFA, training in their development group for two years. I also played a lot of football at home, taking shots at my Dad – he is a goalkeeper too and showed me some basic skills. Then I started playing at school and heard of a new team starting in my area, so I went along to training and started playing in goal and outfield. After half a season the other goalkeeper decided he only wanted to play outfield, so I went in goal every week. Since then, I’ve attended lots of goalkeeper group coaching sessions, holiday camps and private lessons to improve my skills.
FORZA: Which football clubs have you played for then? Have you had any trials at top clubs?!
HS: I started playing for my local team, Dunmow Rhodes U8’s in Division Five, before moving to Witham Town U9’s in Division One. Just this season I’ve moved up one year to Broomfield FC U11’s in Division Two. During this summer I trialled for the MRFA Advanced Academy and I was invited to join them. After our first match against Leyton Orient the Academy Manager asked me to trial with them for six weeks, which was an amazing opportunity!
FORZA: And what does the future look like for you football wise at the moment? What are you hoping to achieve?
HS: Right now, I have fractured my wrist, so my Leyton Orient trial has had to cease. Sadly, under league rules, they can’t put it on hold and can’t re-trial me for another year… but, things happen for a reason and I hope another opportunity will come along in the future!
I’m training hard to get my arm stronger and hope to be back out there saving power-shots again by November. I’m looking forward to continuing my training with the MRFA Advanced Academy as I’ll get more coaching in goal and on my footwork, which is so much more important for goalkeepers now. I’m also having private coaching sessions with Martin Brennan of DGUK who is an amazing ex-Premier League Goalkeeping Coach. I hope both Martin and MRFA will be able help improve my skills to a level where I can play in a pro club academy by the time I’m a teenager… that’s my dream!
FORZA: Speaking of pro clubs, who do you support?
HS: Tottenham Hotspur of course! I’ve been to watch Spurs at the old White Hart Lane and Wembley about 20 times and I can’t wait to watch them in the new stadium soon… it looks amazing!
FORZA: And who are your favourite players?
HS: My favourite players are Hugo Lloris, David de Gea, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane. Lastly, a weird one, but Harry Maguire was great in this year’s World Cup – I’d love to have him in my defence!
FORZA: This should prove a tricky one then… Ronaldo or Messi? Or in goalkeeping circles De Gea or Lloris?
HS: Messi and Lloris!
FORZA: Do you have an idol?
HS: Has to be my Dad! He’s supported me so much and he’s a pretty good goalkeeper too!
FORZA: High praise indeed! What’s been your favourite footballing moment so far?
HS: It has to be when I saved my first penalty that was taken against me in a match last season – I was so proud of myself! My Dad managed to film it and I often watch it back before a game to help build my confidence.
FORZA: And last but not least, if you were a piece of FORZA football equipment what would you be and why?
HS: I’d be a magic pair of FORZA Goalkeeper Gloves with extra special powers… I would be able to fly all around the world and attach myself to the best goalkeepers’ hands in the top leagues, feeling what it’s like to save shots from the world’s best strikers such as Kane, Bale, Messi, Rolando and Mbappe. How cool would that be?!
“I’m excited to be working with FORZA to help other young footballers learn about the great training equipment they offer. The products have certainly helped me to improve and progress to where I am now and hopefully they’ll help me get into a professional football club one day.”
If you’re interested in becoming a FORZA Ambassador like Henry, get in touch with us today by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

Once you’ve purchased your football goal, it’s important to ensure it’s fit for purpose and safely rooted to the ground with the right anchors to stop it overturning…
You may have noticed that we’re on a quest to ensure clubs and coaches are educated when it comes to looking after goalposts correctly. Once you’ve got your football goal, it’s important to keep it safely secured with the correct type of anchors so it’ll stay upright even after the toughest of shots.
Based on information provided by BS EN, ASTM and AS Safety Standards, we’ve pulled together a quick and easy to read rundown of the type of anchors you should have for your goal and how to use them correctly…
Also known as semi-permanent goals, socketed goals drop into the ground sleeve sockets that are concreted into soil, such as our FORZA Alu110 Socketed Goals. This means that the goalposts are fixed into the ground to prevent them overturning.
Each ground sleeve socket should be at least 46cm (18.5”) deep and secured into the ground using a minimum 60cm x 60cm x 60cm cube of concrete. If the soil is weak / sandy, you may need to increase the amount of concrete used.
Integral Weights / Self Weighted Goals
Some manufacturers build in weights inside the backbar / bottom frame of freestanding goals or offer weights to slide inside. These weights inside the goal act as a counterbalance to prevent overturning.
Integral weights can be bought when purchasing the all of our FORZA Alu110 Freestanding Goals or ordered separately if any have gone missing during the summer break!
U-Pegs secure freestanding goals into the ground to prevent them from tipping over. Each U-Peg goes over the backbar / base frame of the goal and is hammered into the ground using a rubber mallet. Don’t forget though… the number of U-Pegs required depends on the size and weight of the goal, as well as the strength of the soil you’re pushing them into!
If the soil is quite crumbly or sandy, it’s better to use a different type of anchor such as sandbags or steel anchor weights.
Sandbags & Steel Anchor Weights
Sandbags and Steel Anchor Weights can be used on any hard surface, acting as a counterbalance to anchor the goals to floor.
Sandbag weights are really easy to install and are simply placed over the backbar / base frame of the football goal. Our sandbag weights can be filled with sand, stone or soil and weigh 20kgs (44lbs) when fully filled.
Steel Anchor Weights, also known as handbag counterweights, have chains with snap hooks to attach to the goal’s backbar / base frames and are available in 17kgs (37lbs) here.
Depending on the size of your goal, you will need either four or six weights to ensure you’re anchoring your goal correctly:
12ft x 6ft | 16ft x 4ft | 12ft x 4ft | 8ft x 4ft | 6ft x 4ft
24ft x 8ft | 21ft x7ft | 18.5ft x 6.5ft | 16ft x 7ft | 5m x 2m | 3m x 2m
There we have it, the rundown of the best types of anchors to suit your goal! If you need any assistance, speak to our helpful Customer Care Advisors on Live Chat or call +44 (0)1691 683 807.
